DATA QUALITY
The RUSSET panel study did not only have quality control
on the level of administrative tasks, such as sampling, interviewing,
and data entry. There was also a strong focus on the quality of the
measurement instruments (survey questions) that were used in the study.
For many of the variables that were measured, there is specific
information available about the validity and reliability of the
measures. Both were assessed via multitrait multimethod experiments,
sometimes combined with split ballot experiments. On this page a
description will be given about all the methodological experiments that
were done in the seven waves.
More information will be available later. This page
is still under construction and is planned for completion in 2006
