FUNDING
The Russian Socio-Economic Transition Panel was funded for the whole
period (1993-1999) by The Netherlands' Organization for Scientific
Research (NWO). The NWO is an independent organization, which finances
an important part of fundamental and strategic scientific research in
The Netherlands. The yearly budget is 340 million EURO*. The NWO covers
all areas of scientific study and plays an important role in the
development of science, technology, and culture in The Netherlands.
